According to Billboard, Chris Cornell's catalog of music — including his solo releases and recordings with his various bands — has seen a 552 percent increase in combined sales and on-demand streams since his tragic passing on May 17.

Cornell's songs have been streamed (in both audio and video format) 32.5 million times in the week ending May 18 (up 549 percent from 5 million), his catalog of albums sold 38,000 copies (up 1,732 percent from 2,000), and his songs sold 144,000 downloads (up 2,222 percent from 6,000).

Seven Cornell tracks have landed on the Hot Rock Songs chart: SOUNDGARDEN's "Black Hole Sun" (No. 7), "Fell On Black Days" (No. 16) and "Spoonman" (No. 19); AUDIOSLAVE's "Like A Stone" (No. 10), "Show Me How To Live" (No. 21) and "I Am The Highway" (No. 25); and TEMPLE OF THE DOG's "Hunger Strike" (No. 18).

Cornell committed suicide on May 18 in a Detroit hotel room. The results of toxicology test are pending and will reveal what, if any, other substances besides his prescription medication Ativan were in his body at the time of his death.

Cornell took Ativan for anxiety, with his family's lawyer suggesting last week that side effects of the drug have been linked to suicidal feelings.

SOUNDGARDEN's longtime house engineer and tour manager, Ted Keedick, told TMZ that the vocalist seemed to be "high" and "fucked up" during the band's last performance in Detroit, hours before Cornell's death. He said that the singer was "out of character from note one of the show."

Cornell's remains were cremated on Tuesday (May 23), with a private funeral service scheduled for Friday (May 26) at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. After 3:00 p.m. local time on Friday, following the private ceremony, the public is welcome to visit the gravesite.
