AFM Records / Believe is proud to announce the re-signing of Canadian Rock act Danko Jones to a worldwide deal (except Canada). After having a rich history with the company before (Wild Cat #13, A Rock Supreme #21 in Germany and various chart entires in Austria, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway or Finland) and reaching #1 on Germany Rock radio charts in 2021, DANKO JONES return with their new masterpiece, "Electric Sounds", once again produced by Juno Award winning producer Eric Ratz.
"Electric Sounds" is due for release on September 15, 2023 through Sonic Unyon in Canada and AFM Records / Believe in the rest of the world. The first single ”Guess Who's Back” is dropping on April 14, 2023. DANKO JONES have never felt more vibrant or hungry than they are on "Electric Sounds". The standby time during the pandemic gave them the freedom to really sit down and compose an 11-track album masterpiece - a collection of their musical history, roots and influences, and without a doubt this brand new album is one of the best in their career yet.
Celebrating more than 25 years in the rock n’roll game, DANKO JONES have an impressive resume to show for the past decades. In addition to sold out headline tours across Canada and the European continent they have also toured the US, Brazil, Japan, Australia and South Africa and done extensive collaborations with a vast number of great artists. The Canadian trio has spent months on the road with Guns N Roses, Motörhead and Volbeat and opened up for The Rolling Stones and Ozzy Osbourne. In early 2023 - already as a preparation for the new music to come - DANKO JONES performed on a very successful tour in Great Britain with Black Stone Cherry and The Darkness.
„We are very happy to be back on AFM. It feels like a homecoming, so let the celebration begin by cranking ELECTRIC SOUNDS. Time to shake some cities with it“, said DANKO about returning to the German label.
The "Electric Sounds" world tour starts off with various summer open airs all across Europe and continues with extensive touring during fall.
“The band’s upcoming album will be their best work to date”, states Nils Wasko, Senior A&R director of AFM Records. “We’ve been able to listen to the new record obviously and it’s stunning. We were always in close relationship with DANKO and his team and are very stoked to move again along the same lines.
