"I'm proud to present the new and improved version of the music video for Against All Odds which includes footage of the double release show of October.
When we recorded the initial version of the Against All Odds video, I had recently confirmed the double release show in TivoliVredenburg. At the one hand, it felt terrifying to start over again after all that had happened, yet also exciting - especially with these wonderful people by my side.
On the studio recording of the song, it’s just Timo and myself, so the two of us went to the venue one weekday morning and performed the song to our filmmaker and the cleaning crew under a single spotlight.
I wanted that video to reflect the full anticipation of starting over again, knowing that it would be open ended, and knowing that we’d have to wait another few months for the conclusion to the story. The release show was that conclusion.
So today, I’m releasing a new version of the video. No longer open-ended, but rather a new beginning. This show was an amazing experience, and hopefully the first of many more to come.
This new version of the video that includes the live band consisting of Timo Somers Otto Schimmelpenninck van der Oije, Joey Marin and Sophia Vernikov, is the perfect precursor for the upcoming clubtour. dates below this post!
