Season of Mist is proud to welcome back MAR DE GRISES. After more than a decade of silence, the Chilean progressive death-doom band have re-signed with the label, which will release their long-awaited fourth album next year.
Inspired by their native Chile, and with a cinematic vision and melodic touch, Mar de Grises have been bringing the Andes, the Pacific Ocean, the cold of Cape Horn, Santiago, the Valdivian forests and the Atacama Desert to progressive death-doom since forming in 2000.
The band were signed to Finland’s Firebox Records before becoming the first band from South America to join Season of Mist. The label released their latest album, 2010’s Streams Inwards, which brought international recognition, major tours with Sólstafir, Swallow the Sun and Saturnus, and festival appearances alongside Opeth, Enslaved and Katatonia.
The band return to the stage in Santiago this month, headlining Cryptic Celebration VII at Teatro Cariola on 30 October, ahead of opening for Opeth in the city on the 1st of November.
More news about the band’s fourth album is coming soon.
