REFLEXION RELEASES NEW MUSIC AFTER MORE THAN 15 YEARS

Finnish dark rock band Reflexion will release two new songs in autumn 2026: “Death of Dolor” (16 October 2026) and “Bulletproof”. These mark the band’s first new releases since 2010, when Reflexion went on an indefinite hiatus.

Over the years, Reflexion’s earlier catalogue has found a new audience around the world. The band has been streamed in more than 150 countries on Spotify, and in the past year alone, its songs have generated more than 12 million streams and reached over one million listeners.

The members of Reflexion share a musical history that dates back to the mid-1990s. Their friendship and passion for playing music together have endured through the years, even though the band did not release new music for more than 15 years.

Work on new music first began in early 2024. However, the material differed considerably in style from Reflexion’s earlier work, and the songs were ultimately left unfinished.

In March 2026, the band returned to the studio. Demos for the new songs took shape during the very first weekend, with the final recordings completed between April and June by the lineup familiar from the band’s debut album:

Juha Kylmänen – vocals

Juhani Heikka – guitar

Ilkka Jolma – guitar

Mikko Uusimaa – bass

Ari-Matti Pohjola – drums

The return to the band’s roots extends to the team behind the music as well. Arttu Peljo, who mixed Reflexion’s debut album Out of the Dark, put the finishing touches on the new songs, while Teemu Hostikka, the designer behind Reflexion’s original logo, is involved in creating the band’s new visual identity.

“We didn’t set out to recreate the old Reflexion. We wanted to make music that feels right to us today – but when you hear it, you immediately know it’s Reflexion.”

“Death of Dolor”, to be released on 16 October 2026, and “Bulletproof”, due later this year, continue the melodic, dark and powerful rock sound that has always defined Reflexion. The new music is not a nostalgic recreation of the past, but the next chapter in the Reflexion story.
