Testimony Records proudly announce that CARNAL GHOUL have inked a multi-album deal with the label. We gladly welcome these illustrious German death metal maniacs to our roster! CARNAL GHOUL will release their sophomore full-length via Testimony Records.

CARNAL GHOUL comment: "We are proud to announce our signing with Testimony Records", guitarist Daniel Jakobi writes on behalf of the band. "The label's devotion to relentless extreme music perfectly matches our own dedication. After laying the band's foundation with our 2013 EP 'The Grotesque Vault' and the debut album 'Back from the Vault' (2022), we are now entering a stronger and more ambitious phase. Our upcoming album will feature the ferocious voice of Lenny from Endseeker. He has already contributed lyrics and vocals to 'Back from the Vault' and is now fully joining as our new frontman. Teaming up with Testimony Records, we will unleash the most devastating Carnal Ghoul release so far."

Testimony Records add: "We are thrilled to announce the signing of Carnal Ghoul", label manager Thomas Strater states. "All of these guys are icons of the underground scene and live and breathe old school death metal. I have known them for at least two decades and they stand for pure passion and true love for brutal music. We are very much looking forward to unleashing a new era in the band's previously obstacle-ridden career."

CARNAL GHOUL owe their existence to a meeting of two kindred spirits at the Party.San Metal Open Air and an undisclosed amount of beer. Guitarist Daniel Jakobi, who has previously played in (or is still a member of) LAY DOWN ROTTEN, MILKING THE GOATMACHINE, and DEMONBREED, among others, entered a passionate conversation with Stefan Hüskens aka Husky, who has drummed (or still drums) for DESASTER, SODOM, ASPHYX and many more. When both of them professed their utter love for old school death metal in general and particularly the classic Swedish sound, the idea for a new band was born.

Of course, both musicians were busy with their bands and projects, but after just one year, the first four songs of CARNAL GHOUL were written and released as the 7" and MCD "The Grotesque Vault" in 2013. The line-up had been expanded by the recruitment of second guitarist Fernando Hermansa and bass player Johannes Pitz, who had played with Jakobi in several bands before. With vocalist Sven Groß, who had been in FLESHCRAWL among others, the band was finally completed and performed two legendary shows at Summer Breeze Open Air and Party.San Metal Open Air.

While working on their debut album, their friend and vocalist Sven Groß lost his battle with cancer in 2021. This left the band in a state of shock. After a period of mourning, CARNAL GHOUL decided to finish and release the debut album in his honor. Aided by several guest vocalists – including Dave Ingram, Martin van Drunen, Marc Grewe, Paul Speckmann, Leif Jensen, Felix Stass, Lenny Osterhus and others – "Back from the Vault" was completed and came out in 2022. The album was met with much praise from fans and media alike.

CARNAL GHOUL needed time to recover from their loss, and after four years, the German death metal aficionados felt ready to begin a new chapter. Lennart "Lenny" Osterhus from compatriots and brothers in spirit ENDSEEKER joined to take over vocal duties.

CARNAL GHOUL's new monster of furious death metal will be unleashed in early 2027 via the label.
