Thirsty Quireboys have shared their new video for “10, 7 And Possibly 6″, which you can hear live on the upcoming Quireboys tour.

There’s a limited-edition 7” double A-side single available, featuring “Mr Big” from the long-awaited Spike’s Free House Live at Sweden Rock album. It’s a teaser for the release, which is due next year following the new Quireboys album. The single is available from Cadiz Merch.

“A few months ago everyone in the band agreed after hearing the Thirsty Quireboys album, we should perform the song ’10, 7 And Possibly 6′ live at the shows in October,” begins vocalist Spike. “So me and Guy Bailey’s hat decided to do a video for that song with the acclaimed director James Heron. Also Richard England from Cadiz Records who was an old mate of Guy’s decided to release a single on vinyl limited edition that we’ll sell at the shows, and you can also buy online.

On the B-side to keep everything in context I suggested to give everyone a treat from a live album Guy loved. I played this album to Guy Bailey after I got the recordings. It’s a band I put together with Luke Morley, playing live songs from the album Spike 100% Pure Frankie Miller. Me & Luke put together the band with Mark Stanway (Magnum) and the legendary rhythm section of Simon Kirke and Andy Fraser from the classic rock band Free. Unfortunately Andy Fraser passed away before the festival shows we were due to play, and it was actually Guy Bailey who suggested not why play half Frankie Miller songs and half Free songs as a tribute to Andy Fraser. And joking he said Frankie’s band was once called Full House, you should call it Spike’s Free House. Ha.

Guy loved the recordings and said you must release this as an album. Luke Morley is in his element and the mix of Frankie’s songs with classic Free is just perfect. The one song Guy loved was the classic ‘Mr Big’. He’d play it me down the phone at 4 am singing along. So on the B side is ‘Mr Big’ for Guy. Spike’s Free House, Live at Sweden Rock, will be out after the new Quireboys album is released early next year.

Guy Bailey was such a huge part of my life and I dedicate every show to him, as I know he is there with us in spirit keeping rock ‘n’ roll alive.”
