Canadian power metal pioneers FORGOTTEN TALES have signed with Rockshots Records for the release of their upcoming comeback album, “OTHER TIMES,” due in 2027.
Marking the beginning of this new chapter, the band makes its highly anticipated return with “A Thousand Lies,” the explosive first single from the upcoming record.
Tackling the modern chaos of misinformation, fake news and the erosion of critical thinking, “A Thousand Lies” serves as an intense, heavy wake-up call. The track bridges the band’s classic high-energy power metal roots with a much heavier, sharper modern production edge.
Driven by Sonia Pineault’s biting, cynical vocal delivery, lightning-fast verses, massive dual-guitar harmonies and a soaring, instantly memorable chorus, the song delivers a direct warning against blindly buying into and spreading unverified noise.
Formed in Québec City in 1999, Forgotten Tales established themselves within the Canadian power metal scene through three albums and live appearances alongside bands including Nightwish, Gamma Ray, Kamelot, DragonForce, HammerFall and Stratovarius.
After a 15-year hiatus, the band now returns with renewed energy and a new chapter alongside Rockshots Records.
The official video for “A Thousand Lies” captures that comeback through an intense performance filmed inside a striking old church, combining fast-moving cameras, dramatic low angles and a modern gothic visual identity.
More details about “OTHER TIMES” will be revealed soon.
