Today, doom metallers, Patriarchs In Black, reveal the new single, “No More Blood.” The song is the first single taken from the upcoming studio album, To Serve Man, out on January 8 via Metalville. The official video for “No More Blood” be seen here.
Dan Lorenzo explains: “When I wrote ‘No More Blood,’ I came up with the bassline first. Soon after, I ‘heard’ the chorus in my head – lyrics, melody, and everything. I was reading a book on Patton, and I envisioned D-Day like the opening scene to Saving Private Ryan. I saw parts of the movie Platoon a few weeks earlier while channel-surfing. I can’t imagine how horrible war must be – terrible. I went into the studio and sang scratch vocals before Johnny Kelly recorded his drums. I left in a small portion of my chorus vocals, but then had Jeff Dixon, Sarah Sovak, and Joe Ferrara REALLY sing. Super stoked the first single off our next album is out for the world to hear.”
Former Type O Negative/Danzig drummer Johnny Kelly and guitarist & riff writer Dan Lorenzo (Hades/Non-Fiction) formed Patriarchs in Black at the end of 2021.
