British death metal veterans Memoriam have announced their sixth and final studio album, "Endgame," set for release on January 29th, 2027 via Reaper Entertainment.
With "Endgame," Memoriam brings their remarkable ten-year journey to a close on their own terms. Rather than allowing the band to slowly lose momentum or continue simply because it was expected, they have chosen to conclude their recording career with purpose, conviction, and one final statement they truly believe in.
Since their formation in 2016, Memoriam has become one of the leading voices in modern British death metal. Originally born out of friendship, remembrance, and a shared desire to create music again, the band quickly evolved into far more than anyone involved had anticipated. Across six critically acclaimed studio albums, Memoriam built a legacy defined by crushing heaviness, intelligent lyricism, political awareness, and uncompromising artistic integrity.
Musically, "Endgame" captures every aspect of the band's identity. Production duties were once again handled by Russ Russell, whose work on the band's last four studio albums has become an integral part of Memoriam's unmistakable sound. The album also features Dirk Verbeuren on drums, whose powerful and dynamic performance brings fresh energy to the recordings while remaining true to the band's signature style and atmosphere.
Although conceived as a final album, "Endgame" is anything but nostalgic. Rather than looking back, it stands firmly in the present - delivering one last uncompromising statement from a band that has always valued honesty over trends and substance over spectacle.
