COCK SPARRER and DIE TOTEN HOSEN release joint split True To The Bone

Two of the most important bands in European punk come together on one record. British Cock Sparrer and German Die Toten Hosen recently released their joint split True To The Bone, featuring two tracks from each band. The limited vinyl edition is restricted to just 6,000 copies, with CD and digital versions also available.
Cock Sparrer contribute the brand-new track “Frontline Heroes”, which was recorded during the sessions for their latest album Hand On Heart and has remained unreleased until now. The second track is “Nowhere To Be Found.” Die Toten Hosen contribute “Alles oder nichts” and a cover of The Clash’s “I’m So Bored With The U.S.A.”
The collaboration between these two bands is no coincidence. Die Toten Hosen have long had a close connection with Cock Sparrer, and the two bands have known each other personally for many years. Their friendship eventually led to the idea of recording a split together.
that’s not all. On July 10, 2027, Cock Sparrer and Die Toten Hosen will finally share the stage for the first time, when the British veterans perform at a major Die Toten Hosen show in Düsseldorf as part of their farewell tour. The symbolism is clear – Cock Sparrer will celebrate 55 years as a band in 2027, while Die Toten Hosen will mark 45 years. Together, that makes a full 100 years of punk rock history.
True To The Bone is therefore more than just another collector’s split. It is a meeting of two generations of European punk who have a strong connection, with their shared history set to become even more intertwined next year.
