German metal act, Schattenmann, has released “Echo” as a new video single from their current album, Endgegner, which entered the Official German Album Charts at #14. Emotional, instantly memorable and driven by a melody that stays with you, “Echo” reveals a particularly heartfelt side of the band.

The new video captures exactly what lies at the heart of the song: memories, togetherness and moments that remain. Featuring footage from shows throughout the Endgegner era alongside photos of and with fans, the clip looks back on an incredible journey filled with powerful concerts, memorable encounters and the special bond between Scahttenmann and their audience. At the same time, “Echo” is anything but a farewell. It celebrates the journey so far while looking ahead with excitement to everything still to come.

Frontman Frank Herzig comments: “With ‘Echo,’ I wanted to create a song that you don’t just hear, but truly feel. It’s a song about memories, about the people who have shaped our lives and whose voices continue to echo within us long after they’re gone. We all know what it feels like to have to let someone go, while their echo remains.

When we play the song live, something happens that captures what makes music so special to me: hundreds of individual voices come together as one in that shared ‘Oh-oh.’ For a moment, it’s not just the audience singing along – everyone is sharing the same emotion. That’s when ‘Echo’ really comes to life. A deeply personal song turns into a shared experience filled with goosebumps, connection and genuine magic. Those are the moments I make music for.”

With Endgegner [German for “Final Boss”], Schattenmann present themselves sharper and more focused than ever. Produced by Henning Verlage, the album represents a clear cut and a deliberate evolution of the band’s sound. Following four studio albums and their first Top 10 chart entry with “Día de Muertos”, Schattenmann continue to prove that change and progression remain at the core of their identity. Heavier, more aggressive, and unapologetically metal, Endgegner sees the band reborn in steel and fire, poised to claim their place in today’s heavy music landscape.
