Following the strong reception of "Nova Atlantis", French melodic heavy/power metal act Kingcrown return with "Moonfall", a record that further consolidates their artistic direction while expanding both their sonic scope and narrative ambition.

Founded by brothers Jo Amore (vocals) and David Amore (drums), both former members of Nightmare, Kingcrown have steadily refined their identity across multiple releases, establishing themselves as a consistent presence within the European power metal landscape. With "Moonfall", the band take a decisive step forward, delivering a more focused, cohesive and dynamically structured work.

Written over an intensive period during the summer of 2025, the album captures a band operating with clarity of vision and creative urgency. The songwriting emphasizes strong melodic frameworks, tight arrangements and a balance between immediacy and depth, combining fast-paced riffing, powerful vocal delivery and anthemic hooks with a carefully controlled sense of dynamics.

Conceptually, "Moonfall" explores a dystopian future shaped by technological evolution, temporal distortion and the fragility of human existence. The album unfolds across ten tracks that intertwine science-fiction narratives with broader reflections on identity, resilience and survival in a rapidly changing world. This thematic framework is reinforced by a coherent narrative thread connecting multiple songs, including "Lost Horizon", a direct sequel to "Endless Journey" from "Nova Atlantis", where a WWII B-17 pilot is propelled through a time vortex into the year 2045.

From a production standpoint, "Moonfall" represents the band’s most refined effort to date. Produced by Kingcrown and mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni (Domination Studio), the album delivers a sound that is both powerful and precisely defined, enhancing the interplay between melodic clarity and rhythmic impact.

Musically, the record remains firmly rooted in the European heavy/power metal tradition, drawing from the legacy of bands such as Iron Maiden, Helloween and Gamma Ray, while incorporating a modern production approach that reinforces its contemporary relevance.

The album is performed by a stable and cohesive lineup - Jo Amore (vocals), David Amore (drums), Sébastien Chabot (bass), Bob Saliba (guitars) and Ced Legger (guitars) - whose continued collaboration following "Nova Atlantis" plays a key role in shaping the band’s increasingly focused and consistent sound.

Tracks such as "We Are Kingcrown" act as a statement of identity while "Rise of Machines" and "Nothing" expand the album’s dystopian dimension. "A Thousand Years" introduces a conceptual perspective rooted in relativity while "Back to the 80’s" pays tribute to the golden era of heavy metal. The album closes with "Beyond the Stars", a reflective piece that leaves the narrative open to interpretation beyond the limits of human existence.

With "Moonfall", Kingcrown continue their collaboration with Rockshots Records, further strengthening their position within the international metal circuit. The album stands as a natural progression from "Nova Atlantis", offering a more mature and defined expression of the band’s sound while maintaining the core elements that have shaped their identity.
