Canadian modern metal outfit FALSET, featuring Chance LaBrie, son of DREAM THEATER vocalist James LaBrie,  has launched the next chapter of its career with a powerful new single “Happy Life” that offers an early glimpse into its forthcoming album. The track introduces the themes of growth, self-awareness, and personal transformation that will shape Day In Day Out, a record the band describes as its most ambitious work yet. It also showcases the group’s continued evolution, blending technical precision with expansive, melodic songwriting and a more refined, cinematic edge. Listen to it here.

A press release from FALSET revealed that their upcoming album, Day In Day Out is slated for release next year on January 15, 2027.

FALSET plans to release several singles in the months to come to tease Day In Day Out.

"As for the new single, “‘Happy Life’ tells the story of someone learning to walk away from what destroys them in pursuit of something real. Raw, emotional, and honest, the song captures the struggle of letting go while holding onto the hope that there’s still a way to a happy life,” says vocalist Zach Copeland.

Day In Day Out is FALSET’s most ambitious and fully realized work to date—a cohesive, modern-metal record shaped by themes of time, presence, and self-awareness. Inspired in part by Rupert Spira’s exploration of how the past and future exist only as thoughts, the album captures the tension between who we are, who we believe ourselves to be, and who we’re becoming.

“Day In Day Out is a complete level up from anything we’ve done before and I can’t wait for everyone to listen to this record from front to back,” says drummer Chance LaBrie.

Sonically, Day in Day Out blends the band’s trademark technicality with massive choruses, cinematic textures, and a sharper, more refined production approach that marks a clear evolution from previous releases.

FALSET, with a fresh take on metal’s future, hailing from Ontario, Canada, are known for a heavy yet highly melodic sound. Blending technical musicianship with strong songcraft, the band balances intensity and accessibility, creating music that is both aggressive and emotionally driven. FALSET’s sound sits at the intersection of today’s latest metal and hard rock.

With over 3 million streams on Spotify alone, FALSET is earning global attention with each release. From sold-out Ontario shows to international touring, FALSET has earned their reputation as a must-see live act and has been seen out live with Warped Tour, Dream Theater, All That Remains, Finger Eleven, Intervals, Cleopatrick, Unprocessed, Mandroid Echostar, and more.
