Forged by two-time Grammy nominated guitarist Sin Quirin, best known for his work with Ministry, alongside vocalist Pedro Sanchez of Transtorno, Siglos channel black, doom and industrial metal into something far deeper than sheer aggression. Their music carries the weight of ancestry, ritual and spiritual confrontation, wrapped in towering riffs, industrial tension and haunting atmosphere.
From their debut EP Rituales Sagrados through to the critically praised, Renacer De Las Cenizas, the band have steadily built a reputation for creating music that feels cinematic, spiritual and deeply personal. Recent singles including “Piel Fría”, “El Paso De Mis Ancestros”, and “Soga De Los Muertos” have further cemented their status as one of extreme metal’s most compelling emerging voices.
The signing arrives after a milestone year for the band, which saw Siglos perform outside of the United States for the very first time with a celebrated appearance at the UK’s premiere independent metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air, followed by an exclusive London show supporting industrial metal pioneers Ministry at Electric Brixton.
In an official statement regarding the partnership, Candlepower Records management said: “Candlepower Records in association with ElectraCast Records is proud and excited to announce a new distribution partnership with Los Angeles-based industrial doom metal band, Siglos. Welcome to the CPR Family and Roster. Our goal here is to bring the underground to the surface with our new relationship with The Virgin Music Group. Siglos is primed and ready to bring their own brand of extreme and cultural brutality to the North American, South American, European and Global Music Masses.”
Founded by entertainment industry veteran Diego Negrete, Candlepower Records was built on a passion for underground heavy music and artistic authenticity. Raised in East Los Angeles and inspired by the explosion of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement, Negrete later formed cult LA thrash outfit MX Machine before forging a decades-long career in live production and television, earning three Primetime Emmy Award Certificates along the way.
Today, Candlepower Records continues its mission of bringing underground artistry to a global audience through its partnership with Virgin Music Group, connecting releases through the VMG/UMG distribution network while maintaining the independent spirit at the heart of the label.
The label also works closely alongside legendary producer Bill Metoyer, whose groundbreaking work with artists including Slayer, Trouble and Corrosion Of Conformity helped shape the sound of modern American heavy music.
Speaking on the new partnership, the band said: “We are excited and very much looking forward to this new venture with Candlepower Records. Always grateful for the people that believe in us and continue to help us bring our sound to the masses.”
Siglos head back into the studio on May 24th to begin work on a brand new track, currently scheduled for release in July alongside a new official video. Further live dates are also in development, including a planned return to the UK and Europe later this year.
