Northern Norwegian heavy/power metal band, Tomorrow’s Outlook, are proud to announce the release of their third full-length album, Black Waves, set for release on March 27 via Battlegod Productions (Australia) in collaboration with the band’s own label and promo company Sörvik Rock Music.

Alongside the album announcement, the band has also released the third and final video single, “Lament Of The Damned”, available now, giving fans one last glimpse into the dark, atmospheric world of Black Waves ahead of its release.

In the lead-up to the album release, Tomorrow’s Outlook have rolled out a visual campaign built around three distinct video releases, culminating with the newly released “Lament Of The Damned,” each exploring different facets of the Black Waves universe.

Rather than following a linear storyline, the videos approach the album’s themes from multiple angles and visual styles, while remaining unified by shared locations, atmosphere, and mood.

Black Waves is Tomorrow’s Outlook’s most cohesive and powerful album to date, blending melodic heavy metal with a heavier, more direct form of power metal. The album deliberately avoids the large, bombastic choirs often associated with the European power metal tradition, instead focusing on atmosphere, storytelling, and a colder, more grounded sound.

Produced by Sascha Paeth (Avantasia), Black Waves carries a distinctive “arctic” sonic identity, shaped by dark Northern Norwegian undertones and dramatic, cinematic textures. The result is an album that feels both classic and modern —familiar yet unmistakably its own.

Lyrically and conceptually, Black Waves draws inspiration from real events, folklore, superstition, and coastal history from Northern Norway. The album tells dramatic stories of life, death, faith, and fate in harsh maritime environments, where myth and reality often blur.

The visual universe of the album, created by acclaimed artist Rado Javor, reinforces this atmosphere and ties the entire concept together into a unified artistic statement.

“Lament Of TheDamned” is the final video release ahead of Black Waves and represents one of the album’s darkest and most intense moments. The video is a performance-based band piece shot on greenscreen and enhanced with fire and ember effects, visually reflecting the song’s themes of damnation and judgment. Lyrically, the track tells the story of the executioner —a grim figure standing between justice, cruelty, and destiny.

The new music video for “Lament Of The Damned” was shot by Owe Lingvall and edited by CharlieSmith of Mind Art Visual. Charlie Smith is known for his work on official music videos for KK’s Priest —including productions directed, filmed and edited under the Mind Art Visual banner —as well as collaborations with the UK/Japanese metal band Esprit D’Air. Frontman Tony Johannessen delivers a commanding vocal performance throughout the album, often drawing comparisons to a young Bruce Dickinson, while the band’s songwriting balances epic melodies with raw power and emotional weight.
