“Ashes” is the fourth album by A THOUSAND REASONS. This time the artist wanted to take a step back to the atmosphere of his first work “Regeneration,” while pushing even further to create something as atmospheric, deep and dark as possible.

The project A THOUSAND REASONS was born in 2009 from an idea of Simone “Zimon”, actual bassist for GOOT (Rock/metal – Russia) and session for The Lust (Gothic – Russia), ex Scarecrown (2004/2009), ex Overunit Machine (2010/2017), ex Revoltons (2020/2024). After leaving Scarecrown, A THOUSAND REASONS released the first EP “Strength And Fight” in 2010, a hardcore metal album with many influences, from thrash to industrial.

After a hiatus of 5 years from 2012 to 2017, the band became a solo project in 2018. Simone started to work on new material with a very different musical style than in the first EP, finalized during the pandemic between 2020 and 2021. The 6-tracks album “Regeneration” (2021) is a sort of atmospheric soundscapes inspired by horror and sci-fi movies/books. The album “Tales from the Unknown” is released in 2022. During the production of the album, Simone worked with Rob (Robert Ritchiesse trio/quartet, Massive Audio Nerve) and Alex (X-Gene), they took the song “Evolutionary [embryonic]” and evolved it into a new insane track. Meanwhile Mist label re-released the first albums of the band and Dodendans released many songs on their compilations. The latest album by A THOUSAND REASONS is “Fragments”, released in 2024 via Machine Tribe Recordings.
