Former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent has announced a new single, "Ride The Serpent", to be made available in a limited edition of 1,000 CDs, 500 of which will be sold in the U.S. and 500 internationally.

According to a post on Vinnie's web site, each "Ride The Serpent" CD, which is part of the guitarist's new Vinnie Vincent Invasion Master Series to launch the long-awaited VINNIE VINCENT INVASION album "Judgment Day (Guitarmageddon Pt. I)", is priced at $200, with an additional $25 for shipping in the U.S.A., and $100 for shipping internationally. Each CD is individually numbered and signed by Vincent.

Vinnie wrote on his web site: "Given there are so many number one lead off tracks from 'Judgment Day Guitarmageddon', it was near impossible to pick one. However I ultimately chose 'Ride The Serpent'. A nearly 8 minute, intense guitar powerdrive featuring Vinnie Vincent on guitars and bass, Robert Fleischman vocals and Keary Jordan on drums."

Less than three weeks ago, Vincent defended the high cost of his upcoming single, explaining in a Facebook post that "numerous pirating entities" were "watching and waiting like a hawk to seize whatever" he releases "and bootleg it." He added that "this protects premature pirating."

"I understand the bitching, the moaning, the whining about price, but you must also understand that my situation is as such that my music is so desired that it will be targeted and taken from me immediately, which I cannot/will not allow," he wrote at the time. "I wish it was not this way, but I'm honored that it is. It's a double-edged sword for me, but I sincerely hope that when you think it through you will understand the dilemma I face."

According to Vinnie's web site, if the "threshold of 1,000" pre-orders is not reached by February 28, 2026, credit card purchases will be refunded through PayPal. However, if "fan support is there" and a goal of 1,000 "Ride The Serpent" pre-orders is reached, Vincent will "incrementally release one song per disc in reasonable time intervals. There are many special releases ready for the fans who have been waiting patiently."

Back in May 2021, Vincent spoke to The Rock Experience with Mike Brunn about his plans to finally release some of his previously unheard music that was recorded over the course of the last three decades. He said: "This is my crowning moment of joy that I've been waiting for many, many, many years, just to be able to say to everybody in truth and reality, but we are finally mixing the two-inch masters that I finally have control over my two-inch tape masters of all of my songs. And we're gonna be releasing new Vinnie Vincent music on vinyl. Within the next 12 to 18 months, it's all finally going to be released. And the artwork is great. We're finished with almost all of the artwork. And yes, the 'Guitarmageddon' album is in the process of being mixed right now. We just finished mixing the new 'Euphoria' tracks that no one's ever heard. And it's pretty phenomental."

He continued: "I would have to say in all good conscience and honesty that I'm very impressed with what I'm hearing, and I'm blown away. And I'm finally able to say it's a new era of Vinnie Vincent music being released, this next 12 to 18 months. And I'm so proud to be able to say that. And as things start to open up and there are tours again, you can bet that I'll be out there."

"Euphoria" was Vinnie's 1996 EP, released on Vincent's own Metaluna label. The purpose of the EP was to preview material for an album called "Guitarmageddon", which had never materialized.

Vincent — who was a member of KISS when the band publicly "unmasked" in 1983 — made several public appearances in 2018 after spending the past two decades out of the public eye.
