Primal Fear bassist / co-founder and Sinner frontman Mat Sinner has checked in with the following message:
“I will record a new Sinner album soon with a lot of wonderful boys & girls backing me in the studio, and release the best Sinner album we can imagine. Songs are ready and are coming out crushing. Never say never, but I will dedicate the last years of my musical career to Primal Fear. Let’s make the last Sinner album a special one that will make all my long time supporters happy, and let’s celebrate this unbelievable journey together! I will post some more exciting news about this new album next week. The last one turns off the lights. Boom, Bang, Goodbye.”
Sinner was launched by Mat Sinner in 1982. They have released 20 studio albums since then, their latest record, Brotherhood, having been issued in July 2022.
On May 9, Primal Fear’s new line-up – Ralf Scheepers (vocals), Mat Sinner (bass), Magnus Karlsson (guitar), Thalìa Bellazecca (guitar) and André Hilgers (drums) – made their live debut at Rock In Rautheim 2025 in Braunschweig, Germany. The show also marked bassist / co-founder Mat Sinner’s return to the stage after five years of dealing with severe health issues.
