Swedish death metal veterans, Centinex, return with full force and fearless conviction on their 12th full-length album, With Guts And Glory, set for release on November 7 via Black Lion Records. The album will be available on CD, vinyl, and across all major digital and streaming platforms

Formed in 1990, Centinex quickly rose as a force within the classic, riff-driven Swedish death metal movement. After eight albums, the band split in 2005, only to resurface in 2014 with a refreshed line-up and the celebrated comeback record Redeeming Filth (Agonia Records). The follow-up, Doomsday Rituals (2016), was supported by shows across Europe and North America. Their third release since the reunion, Death in Pieces (2020), sharpened their Stockholm-style death metal to new levels of intensity, while the Pestilence EP (2022) leaned into thrash influences and closed their chapter with Agonia Records.

The 2024 dual single “As You Die” ushered in a new era, fusing death ’n’ roll fury with Centinex’s trademark raw extremity. It also began their alliance with Swedish label Black Lion Records, leading to their highly anticipated twelfth album, With Guts And Glory.

On the upcoming album, With Guts And Glory, Centinex showcases a bold evolution in their musical style, blending the raw aggression of death metal with the relentless speed of thrash, the uncompromising spirit of punk, and the heavy grooves of classic metal and rock. After decades of crushing riffs and cult acclaim, the band stand stronger than ever, choosing their own path over conformity. More than just a title, With Guts And Glory is a statement of intent, driven by determination and a refusal to compromise.

“This record is about pleasing ourselves first and foremost,” the band says. “We didn’t try to chase trends or expectations. We simply wrote the music we love. Heavy, intense, and with no apologies.”

The band continues, “There will always be fans longing for the past and we understand that, but the same way they should understand that we don’t want to do the same album over and over again. Exploring different paths and directions is something Centinex has always been about, and we will continue with that as long as the band exists.”

With Guts And Glory opens a new chapter while staying rooted in Centinex’s brutal legacy. Fans old and new can expect a sonic assault that feels both familiar and freshly revitalized: a declaration that Centinex are far from finished and more dangerous than ever.

Tracklisting:

As the first taste of the album, Centinex unleash a lyric video for the track "Your Religion Dies Tonight," which the band calls "a merciless sonic assault." The song delivers raw death metal brutality fused with the relentless speed and aggression of thrash and punk.

Elaborate Centinex: "Unapologetically heavy and forged in the fires of rebellion, ‘Your Religion Dies Tonight’ drips with blood, sweat, and venom. With riffs sharp enough to slit throats and a groove that hammers like Motörhead on a death-fueled rampage, Centinex take a bold step forward in their decades-long mission of uncompromising extremity."
