Taking Johnny Cash’s iconic anthem and reimagining it through a heavy metal lens, Ring of Fire surges with towering riffs, epic melodies, and Carol Phillips’ commanding vocal delivery . What began as a classic outlaw-country staple has now been transformed into a dark, symphonic metal inferno , proving once again Element of Fate’s gift for honoring legendary songs while forging them into something entirely new.
“Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire has been covered countless times, but we wanted to give it a darker, heavier rebirth. To me, it’s always been about passion that burns uncontrollably, a dangerous love worth the risk, so pulling it into the realm of metal felt natural, ” says vocalist Carol Phillips , who also directed and produced the official music video , bringing the track’s passion and drama to life with striking visuals.
Mixed and mastered by John Mario (JBG Records) , Ring of Fire follows hot on the heels of the band’s celebrated cover of The Rolling Stones’ Paint It Black , further building anticipation for their debut full-length Dreamfall , due in May 2026.
