As a noteworthy surprise in the prog scene, Hasse Fröberg, singer in the well-known Swedish Prog band „The Flower Kings“ joins DIGITAL LIFE PROJECT (formerly known as Deaton Lemay Project – aka. „D.L.P.“) with immediate effect. His new tenure will be in addition to his ongoing work with „The Flower Kings“ and his own project „HFMC“. Their first EU show will be at the ArtRock Festival Reichenbach in April 2026.

„I’m just blown away. I never thought that my wildest dreams would come true so fast, that is, bringing my music to the world’s stages“ said Roby Deaton, keyboardist and composer of D.L.P. „Having the honor to announce the profound prog professional Hasse Fröberg from Sweden as D.L.P‘s Live voice is really exciting and topping the already exceptional cirumstance that we have persuaded Mike Thorne (SAGA) of playing most drum parts on our newest album.“

„After I was asked to think about joining the project, I immediately listened to all three albums, yet unknown to me, and instantly liked the D.L.P. music a lot“, responds Hasse Fröberg, the new Swedish member of D.L.P „Stepping into the toes of their outstanding US studio singer Hadi Kiani initially seemed to be kind of a substantial challenge for Live performances. But after gettng used to his vocal lines, I felt more and more comfortable. Then, I said to myself: ‘I still feel young at heart, so, why not taking the challenge‘ and told my new friends that I’m ready, looking forward to a great common Livetime.“

“When Frank Jung introduced me to the band a while ago, I was instantly stunned by the creativity and professionalism radiated by their music, the recording standard and especially the original but unknown studio singer Hadi Kiani“ reports Oliver Wenzler, owner of the Progressive Promotion Records label (PPR) distributing the latest two albums across Europe. „Having found the entie D.L.P.-EU crew and finally Hasse, to stand in as an on-par EU-substitute of Hadi for economic aspects, really marks a milestone for a profound musical future of the band not only in Europe, but perhaps also world-wide“.

„DIGITAL LIFE PROJECT“ is a US Retro-Prog-Metal-AOR Band from Houston / Texas (USA) that rose like a Phoenix out of the ashes in the European progressive rock music market, a er delivering two brilliant and widely accoladed studio albums under the Progressive Promotion Records label (PPR) in Germany. As a logical consequence of the success of their former album „The Fifth Element“, holding position #1 for 11 weeks in the Belgian Prog charts in early 2023, the band’s leader, composer and keyboarder ROBY DEATON decided to step out of the shadows of the US prog music market and conquer European stages with his sophistcated melodic and symphonic style, old-school progressive music, packed into a modern sound scape.

To back up this idea, the retired former studio drummer was replaced by MIKE THORNE of SAGA, playing drums of most of the songs on the current album, released world-wide mid of April 2025. After renaming the current project to DIGITAL LIFE PROJECT (still keeping the DLP moniker logo), the new Album named „Digital Life“ got a number of excellent reviews by prog music connoisseurs on the North-American continent and in Europe.

To manage touring costs effectively, the project actually runs with two formations, one in the US and one outside of the US, whereas the European band crew is now fortified by its new voice given by HASSE FRÖBERG – who might even perform live in the US. In addition, two drummers from other well known European bands will hold the sticks for live events of DLP in Europe, depending on their availability: FELIX WALDISPÜHL of Flame Drop (Switzerland) and SAMMY WAHLANDT of Sammary (Germany). Both and the two remaining German live band members KARSTEN GEHRKE (Bass) and FRANK JUNG (Guitars) are happy to welcome and support their internationally renowned friends for stunning D.L.P. performances throughout Europe in the near future.
