Following the release of their single and music video, Swedish gothic rock band Scheitan have unveiled a club remix of “Heaven Tonight”, created by CJ of the Swedish synthpop duo Ashbury Heights. The remix presents a new take on the track, made for the dance floor. Listen to it here.
Known for their synthpop, Ashbury Heights has been a prominent name in the electronic and alternative music scenes since their formation in 2005. Their music, a mix of catchy melodies, electronic beats, and emotional lyrics, has earned them a dedicated global following.
CJ’s involvement in the "Heaven Tonight" remix adds a distinct electronic element to Scheitan’s gothic sound.
Scheitan's Pierre Törnkvist commented on the collaboration: "No, we are not going disco, the upcoming album will be as much goth as it can be. BUT, we have a remix of ‘Heaven Tonight’, done by none other than CJ of Swedish synthpop starlets Ashbury Heights, and this one you can dance to. It is both exciting, scary and uplifting to give free hands to another artist to do something completely different with the music you have created."
The new, yet untitled album will be released by The Circle Music at the end of 2025. While the album itself will remain a true goth offering, the remix provides a unique, danceable version of their latest single.
