Organizers for the annual Rock meets Classic tour through Germany have checked in with the following update:
“It’s the Final Countdown For the farewell tour of Rock Meets Classic 2026, one highlight after another awaits you:
Europe’s Joey Tempest will headline The Final Countdown Tour 2026, matching their over-hit, bringing more hits like ‘Carrie’, Superstitious’ and ‘Rock The Night’.
Also, Robert Hart, the lead singer of Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, is back with hits such as ‘For You’, ‘Davy’s On The Road Again’ or ‘Mighty Quinn’, and will lead the audience as a speaker through the evening.
Thus, with Michael Schenker, Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish), as well as Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids), five of the six acts have already been confirmed, who will be on stage at the Rock meets Classic farewell tour 2026 together with the RmC band and the RmC Symphony Orchestra.

From 2010 to 2020, Mat Sinner (Primal Fear) was musical director and creative director of the Rock Meets Classic production. The regular backing band includes Zlatko Jimmy Kresic (keyboards), Alex Beyrodt, Tom Naumann (both ex-Primal Fear)and Oliver Hartmann (ex-Avantasia) on guitars, Moritz Müller on drums (The Intersphere), and singers Sascha Krebs (The Queen Kings), Gabriela Gunčíková and Giorgia Colleluori (Sinner). The tour had to be canceled prematurely in 2020 due to the Corona virus pandemic, and no tours took place in 2021 and 2022 due to the pandemic.
