Swedish metalcore heavyweights Adept continue their triumphant return unleashing the heartfelt and groovy hook-laden new anthem “YOU” alongside an official music video. Following the release of their crushing comeback single “Heaven”, which marked their first new music in nearly nine years, “YOU” dives deep into the emotional wreckage of love lost, with swelling, cathartic guitar leads and honest, bleeding heart lyricism.
The band first re-emerged in 2024 with a breathtaking live appearance at Core Fest in Stuttgart, Germany, igniting the stage, and thrilling fans with a powerful display of fury and fire. Now with two new singles under their comeback belt, Adept has their foot on the gas, and show no signs of slowing.
This new visual arrives on the heels of Adept’s recent announcement of their “20 Year Anniversary Tour”, marking two decades of explosive live shows and heavy-hitting anthems. The tour features an extensive run across major cities in Europe and the UK, kicking off in Berlin, Germany on November 27.

Vocalist Robert Ljung about “YOU”: “‘YOU’ is a classic breakup song built around the lingering ‘what if’ – a reflection on love, loss, and how time eventually swallows everything. It’s probably our most accessible track so far, combining a catchy topline with heavy riffs in a way that still feels true to our sound. We had a lot of fun experimenting with new elements on this one, and we’re incredibly proud of how it turned out.
