Huntington Beach G-punk pioneers, (Hed) P.E., have already released a few singles from their upcoming New And Improved covers collection, including brand new recordings of their own classics “Bartender” and “Raise Hell.” So we’ve already had the chance to find out if we agree with the record’s title. (The answer, unanimously, is yes!)
This one, however, is the most arresting yet, as the band completely, and brilliantly, up-end one of The Police’s biggest (if creepily stalker-ish) hits, not only as their latest single, but also as the opening track to the album itself. And once you dive into that, you may never want to resurface.

Whether you lived through the decade or not, we all know what the eighties sounded like – an ineffable potpourri of synthipop, stadium rock, a ska revival and power balladeering, indelibly tattooed upon our brain pans for ever.
