Concrete Age prepare to release their 10th album - Awaken The Gods

Formed in the North Caucasus region in 2011, Concrete Age relocated to London in 2014. Since then their creative endeavours have gone from strength to strength, releasing a stream of well received albums of their unique brand of ethnic metal, including the hugely critically acclaimed Bardo Thodol and Motherland. Now, in 2025, Concrete Age are ready to unveil their tenth studio album, an album that may come to be regarded as their finest release to date – Awaken The Gods!
Awaken The Gods takes the listener on an intense journey of self discovery, through the kingdoms we hold within ourselves, walking the boundaries of what is accepted and understood to be real and touching that which lies beyond our everyday existence. It embraces the spiritual and the savage, the primal and transcended. With every album Concrete Age seem to stretch themselves further, to become more ambitious in their writing and performances and every time they reach new pinnacles of success. Awaken The Gods is a triumph in every sense of the word – featuring some of the heaviest, most intricate, most energized and thought provoking material ever to bear the Concrete Age name. From the thrilling opener, ‘Prey For Me’ where a vast host of ideas are expertly blended into a song of overwhelming power and passion, to the concluding ‘Sorrows Of The Flesh’ with its outstanding guitar playing, there is not a moment of music that fails to intrigue, excite and challenge. There is evidence of Concrete Age’s exponential evolution wherever you turn; be it the glorious choruses of ‘Forbidden Ministry’, the playful power and musicianship of ‘Mid-East Boogie’ or the world building narrative and vocal versatility displayed on ‘Where Storms Are Gathered’. Aside from the eight magical, original tracks that form the core of Awaken The Gods, Concrete Age have added two compelling cover versions as bonus material. There is ‘Boro Boro’, a chart topping track in Sweden from Iranian/Swedish singer Arash and ‘Şimarik’ by the Turkish musician Tarkan. Concrete Age have made both songs their own, but they give an interesting insight into the exotic influences that the band bring to their extreme metal creations.
