International hard rock/heavy metal group, Goot, is ready to come back with a new, exciting album, after delivering the 2024 release Weight of Days. The new album is called The Toll Remains The Same and it sees once again the mighty David Reece (ex-Accept, ex-Bonfire) on vocals.
The Toll Remains The Same, which will be released on May 23 via Worldlessness Records, contains 17 tracks, including 4 previously unreleased tracks and various remixes, orchestral and ambient versions. The title track is now available as visualizer video, watch here.
The Toll Remains The Same is a continuation of the concept realized on the album Weight Of Days in 2024 and a bridge to the Goot‘s second full-length with the participation of cult vocalist David Reece, which the band plans to release in 2026.
In the new tracks, Goot turns to its big-rock and heavy metal side, without forgetting about the modern, dense sound, epic melodies, and pumping energy. The new material s crowned by the charismatic, classic rock vocals of David Reece. In addition to maestro Reece, the guitarist of the British thrash metal band Onslaught, Wayne Dorman, participated in the creation of the new music. All the lyrics of the new EP, like all other lyrics of Goot, were written by the Dutch writer and music journalist Randy Gerritse.
