CHIMAIRA drummer Andols Herrick won’t be participating in the band’s forthcoming reunion show with their ‘classic’ era lineup. That show, billed as ‘Chimaira Christmas 15‘, will instead take place with drummer Austin D’Amond behind the drum kit. D’Amond previously played in CHIMAIRA during their later lineups and is currently a member of DEVILDRIVER.

Comments the band of the situation: “We are extremely disappointed to report that as a result of debilitating health, Andols Herrick is unable to perform at this year’s Christmas show. We are fortunate and grateful, however, that CHIMAIRA veteran Austin D’Amond will step up to command the absent throne. Our sincerest apologies are in order for the disruption, but we are confident the night will absolutely crush.”

Herrick‘s health issues first came to light earlier this year. The aforementioned show will reunite vocalist Mark Hunter, guitarist Rob Arnold, guitarist Matt DeVries, bassist Jim LaMarca and keyboards/programmer, etc. Chris Spicuzza for the first time in roughly seven years. It will take place December 30th at The Agora Theatre in Cleveland, OH.
