Savatage / Trans-Siberian Orchestra guitarist Chris Caffery has checked in with the following update:
“‘I don’t know, where the years have gone.’ Paul O’Neill places these words on ‘When The Crowds Are Gone’ by Savatage. As the crowds return to Savatage, I am still working on putting together a new release for my solo music. This cammo face photo was taken for my WARPED CD. The makeup and photo were both done by my good friend Kemp Muhl. Kemp is a very successful model, artist and musician who has great knack for photography as well.
As you may or may not know I recorded a new single called ‘Do You See What I See Now’ last year. I had first thought of the idea of placing it on a 20 year anniversary of the release of my WARPED CD; my record label, Metalville Records, in Germany suggested I try to make it something a bit different. So, my idea was to do 20 Years Of The Music Man since every piece of music I recorded as a solo artist was completed 2004 – 2024.
I had a couple songs released as singles, a few unreleased tracks, and some that I felt never saw all the light of day they deserved. ‘Music Man’ was one of those songs, as well as ‘Pisses Me Off’, so I’m going to include those two on the release.
I’ve never released a vinyl solo record so I thought having a heavy side and a side with songs like ‘Music Man’ would be kinda cool for that.
Here is a current tracklisting for vinyl:
Side 1
“Do You See What I See Now”
“May Day” (single release only)
“Sick Of This Shit” (single release only)
“Fright Knights” (track from WARPED, only released on my Mold EP)
“Last Time” (unreleased track from Faces)
“Pisses Me Off” (shorter version off Music Man EP)
Side 2
“Music Man”
“What Child Is This” (instrumental from Music Man EP)
“My Light” (released on Metalville anniversary CD)
“I Miss You Sometimes” (unreleased track from Faces)
“Glitter” (single release only)
“Then She’s Gone” (unreleased demo)
The CD version will have a few choice bonus tracks from all of my records. Any songs you want me to add?
The other artwork in this post are more amazing graphics by Frederic Descamps. I really love the piece with the tornado for the album cover! Hoping to release this in the summer.”
