Former KILLSWITCH ENGAGE singer Howard Jones is working on his debut album. Helming the sessions for the effort is Josh Gilbert, an acclaimed producer and bassist/vocalist who previously played in AS I LAY DYING and is a current member of SPIRITBOX.
Earlier today (Wednesday, December 18),Howard shared three photos of him and Josh in the studio, and he included the following message: "Back in the studio, Recording a few different features and projects.
"After a lot of talk it's finally happening. Starting work on my first solo album, stoked to have Josh Gilbert producing.
"More to come soon."
Jones and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz recently completed work on the debut album from their collaborative project BURN ETERNAL.
Jones left KILLSWITCH ENGAGE in 2012 and battled manic depression and bipolar disorder before forming a new project, DEVIL YOU KNOW, with guitarist Francesco Artusato (ALL SHALL PERISH) and drummer John Sankey (DEVOLVED). Along with bassist Ryan Wombacher (BLEEDING THROUGH),they recorded and toured behind two well-received albums, 2014's "The Beauty Of Destruction" and 2015's "They Bleed Red". In 2017, the band changed its name to LIGHT THE TORCH.
Jones makes an appearance on KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's latest album, 2019's "Atonement", contributing guest vocals to the song "The Signal Fire".
