Elvenking signs with Reaper Entertainment / announces new single

The runes are cast! Fantasy metal overlords ELVENKING have signed a worldwide deal with uprising metal enthusiasts Reaper Entertainment.
“We are more than excited to start a new chapter of our career with a new label, after 24 years working with the same one,” founder Aydan states. “We feel really really distant from how heavy metal is conceived nowadays; we have grown up in the end of the 80s and during the 90s and we still believe in how metal was in that period. Therefore, it is great to work with Reaper guys who have the same vision in music that we have.”
Reaper Entertainment adds: “We are overjoyed that the mighty ELVENKING are now part of the Reaper family. We have been fans of their music for many years and are very happy that we can complete the Readers Of The Runes trilogy together. Look forward to the upcoming single and welcome the band to our ranks!”
Together, ELVENKING and Reaper Entertainment set sail to bring their epic “Reader of the Runes” trilogy to a rewarding close, one of the most epic sagas in the history of heavy metal. As a first foretaste of what’s to come and to baptise this new alliance in sound, ELVENKING today announce the release of their brand-new single “Throes of Atonement”, an uplifting, soaring anthem full of magical energy and that sense of wonder tragically lacking in most other metal bands today.
"Conceptually we are going back in time, to when things were more light-hearted for all of the characters, all the way to the tragic moment that determined the main cause of the whole story”, main vocalist Damna explains the motivation behind this first banger.

Like echoes from a twilight world, reminiscences of Maiden, early Blind Guardian or early In Flames roam through their music without deducting anything from the sheer originality emanating from the song. Ever more the masters in combining catchy tunes and huge choruses with intricate fantasy atmosphere and expansive instrumental parts, Elvenking prove to be a natural successor of metal high wizards such as Skyclad, Helloween or Avantasia, genuine and rightful successors to the throne.
2025 will bring ELVENKING to stages all across Europe when they join forces with Alestorm, Ensiferum, Tyr and Heidevolk to resurrect the legendary Paganfest trek. Be there or be square!
