Guitarist Kieran Robertson joins Faster Pussycat

Faster Pussycat have a new guitarist! Guitarist Kieran Robertson, who had been Geoff Tate‘s right hand man for a number of years, has joined Faster Pussycat. The group’s line-up also includes frontman Taime Downe, guitarist Sam “Bam” Koltun, drummer Chad Stewart and bassist Danny Nordahl. It appears that Robertson is replacing guitarist Mihailo Lukic who had been playing with Faster Pussycat since in or about April 2023 (as per JunkYard Rock Stories). Back in December 2022, Rose Tattoo announced that guitarist Ronnie Simmons (who had been playing with Faster Pussycat for about a year) had joined their band.
Faster Pussycat are about to embark on another run of tour dates across the United States of America starting on October 31, 2023.
The following message was posted on Robertson‘s Facebook page on October 10, 2023: “Can finally tell everyone what’s going on so y’all stop asking me
Delighted to announce I’m going to be playing guitar for Faster Pussycat
This has been a dream of mine since I was a kid and it is an honour to play with these guys
The last few months I took a huge risk by moving to Los Angeles and starting a life here
I could not have done it without the support from my family, some good Friends (you know who you are), my love Allison, Geoff Tate, Susan Tate and Hussle Music
For those that missed it I got on stage with Geoff Tate the other night and played a couple of songs with him and the amazing band he has together now
There is no bad blood; there is no drama, there is only love, mutual respect and a understanding that all things can’t last forever
Although I’m sure me and Geoff Tate will be working together in the future again
Can’t wait to see you all on the road again real soon

Tate is apparently supportive of Robertson‘s move as the former posted the following the same day on his Facebook page: “I am so proud and happy for my friend and guitar player Kieran Robertson. Kieran has joined the band, Faster Pussycat and will soon be joining them on tour. Kieran and I have had many wonderful tours together and although I will miss him on my stage, I’m very happy to see that he’ll share his talents with so many more music fans around the world.”
